An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Bid Associate to join the UK Bid Team of a leading multidisciplinary consultancy. THE ROLE:

As Bid Associate, you will play a pivotal role in managing high-stakes bids, ensuring the bid lifecycle is handled effectively and contributing to the growth of the business. Collaborating with technical experts, marketing teams, and senior leaders, you will implement best practices, develop compelling proposals, and oversee the bid submission process from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate strategic bid submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements and internal processes.

  • Lead Bid-No-Bid discussions alongside senior team members, contributing research and insights to inform decisions.

  • Develop bid strategy, identifying win themes and collaborating with the wider bid and commercial teams.

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior members of the bid team, supporting their professional growth.

  • Liaise with the Commercial and Legal Team (CLT) to ensure contractual and risk aspects are effectively addressed.

  • Create bespoke content by interviewing technical team members to capture project stories and client value propositions.

  • Ensure all bid content aligns with the company’s brand standards, corporate messaging, and client expectations.

  • Conduct post-bid evaluations, gather lessons learned, and contribute to continuous process improvements.

  • Analyse bid feedback and win/loss data to identify areas for growth and enhance future submission strategies.

Key Skills:
  • Significant experience in bid coordination, proposal management, or a similar role within a professional services environment.

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading abilities with a proven track record of creating winning proposals.

  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex bids simultaneously.

  • Line management, coaching, or mentoring experience to support the development of junior team members.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with bid management platforms.

  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) is advantageous.

  • Certification in APMP (Association for Proposal Management Professionals) – Foundation or Micro level preferred.

  • Experience in the built environment, engineering, or consultancy sectors is desirable.
