Senior Finance Officer
SALARY £45,000 - £50,000
OVERVIEW:A thriving and collaborative engineering consultancy are looking for a Senior Finance Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified finance professional to take on a hands-on role, manage key finance processes, and contribute to exciting projects in a solutions-driven, collaborative environment.
You’ll work alongside a dedicated Senior Finance Assistant and closely with the Director of Operations and senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities:Managing invoicing, creating credit notes, and maintaining an invoicing forecast.
Overseeing purchase and debt ledgers, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Setting up new clients and external suppliers in Xero and supporting the transition from QuickBooks.
Managing expenses, analysing financial data, and contributing to finance projects.
Liaising with banks and managing international transactions.
Key Skills:Part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a strong desire to continue professional development.
5+ years of relevant finance experience, ideally in a similar all-rounder role.
Proficiency in Xero (or experience with QuickBooks and willingness to transition).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Confident communicator who thrives in an environment where in-person collaboration with directors and colleagues is key.
