THE COMPANY:

A dynamic and design-focused procurement company, dedicated to sustainability, is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Operations to lead and enhance their project delivery and operational processes. The company specialises in sustainable furniture and lighting for high-profile projects across hotels, offices, residential spaces, and restaurants, striving to balance exceptional design with environmental responsibility.

The Role:

The Head of Operations will oversee the project management team, drive operational improvements, and contribute to strategic decisions as part of the leadership team. They will manage complex, large-scale projects and ensure seamless delivery while fostering team development and upholding the company’s values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic input on business growth, resource allocation, and efficiency improvements.

  • Lead and develop the project management team, setting KPIs and monitoring performance.

  • Oversee the delivery of high-value projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.

  • Act as the primary escalation point for project challenges, finding innovative solutions.

  • Maintain and improve compliance standards, including ISO 9001 accreditation.

  • Represent the company in client pitches, offering expert insights on project delivery strategies.

Key Skills:
  • 10+ years in senior operations, project management, or procurement roles, with a track record of managing large, multi-phase projects.

  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and drive continuous improvement.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable balancing strategic oversight with hands-on involvement.

  • Experienced in implementing process improvements and managing compliance standards.

  • Skilled communicator, capable of managing stakeholder relationships and navigating complex operational challenges.

  • Location: Office-based in Clerkenwell, London, WFH option 1-2 days per week

  • Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.
